2010 Highlights
- Purchased the ROV division of Aquanos, Ltd. in the UK thus bringing SeaTrepid's fleet size to 36 ROV vehicles and six terrestrial crawler vehicles.
- With the Aquanos purchase, SeaTrepid thus expanded its ROV fleet capability to 2,000 meters depth with light intervention tooling and full fiber optic bandwidth for sensor throughput.
- With the addition of SeaTrepid's VT-300 pipe crawling vehicle (one of only four in existence), SeaTrepid now has full 2,000 meter horizontal dry pipe penetration capability with full fiber optic bandwidth for sensor throughput.
2009 Highlights
- Spun off Inuktun USA into a separate corporate entity to formally separate Inuktun USA from SeaTrepid.
- Building Inuktun USA business operations, setting up the Inuktun Service and Repair station and training personnel.
- Filed full patent application for the rope and riser crawler.
- Aggressively grew terrestrial robotics business unit.
- Name change of SeaTrepid Louisiana LLC to SeaTrepid International LLC in early-April.
- Completion of new purpose-built ROV training, testing, service and support facility in early-June 2009.
2008 Highlights
- SeaTrepid again more than doubled its revenues from the previous year.
- In May 2008, SeaTrepid Robotics LLC was dissolved and was replaced with an engineering agreement with Inuktun Services Ltd.
- In August 2008, SeaTrepid purchased a 10% equity interest in Inuktun Services Ltd. in exchange for the sole US distributorship of all Inuktun products.
- First mid-sized job in July with Southern Natural Gas and T. Baker Smith.
- The rope and riser crawler project produced the first proof of concept prototype.
- Six month umbilical lay project in Trinidad for Cal Dive International/BG.
- Hurricanes Gustav and Ike tear through the middle of the Gulf of Mexico oil and gas fields.
- Inspected over 425 platforms and pipelines in the wake of the two storms.
- SeaTrepid performed ROV support services for the 2008 Loch Ness Expedition with The Academy of Applied Science (as shown on Episode 1 of The History Channel's "Monster Quest").
2007 Highlights
- SeaTrepid more than doubled its revenues from the previous year.
- Olympic Orion, Maersk Achiever and Ocean Tower (various vessels of opportunity) were full-time projects
- SeaTrepid Louisiana LLC was formed as was SeaTrepid Robotics LLC.
- Purchased the Robert, Louisiana facility and moved in on January 1, 2008.
- Released to book stores in August 2007 is the first observation class ROV manual "The ROV Manual" available now through most major book outlets including Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and Elsevier.com
2006 Highlights
- SeaTrepid more than quadrupled its revenues from the previous year.
- January 1, 2006, SeaTrepid was recruited to perform ROV support for the DBL 152 oil spill South of Port Arthur, TX.
- February 2006, ExxonMobil engaged SeaTrepid to perform support services in Eugene Island Block 314 with later expansion to Grand Isle 16 and South Timbalier 54.
- March 2006, Tetra Applied Technologies engaged SeaTrepid performed ROV support services aboard the Derrick Barge Southern Hercules for the first subsea Plug and Abandonment operation of a downed platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
- May 1, 2006, SeaTrepid moved its offices from Pottstown, PA to Hammond, LA and all operations and management were transferred Louisiana.
- July 2006, Chet Morrison Construction engaged SeaTrepid to perform ROV support for a BP job South of Pascagoula, MS. That is now ongoing business.
- July 2006, W&T Offshore engaged SeaTrepid to perform ROV support for their SS148 project as well as its SS148 project. W&T is now an ongoing customer.
- September 2006, Express Energy Services engaged SeaTrepid to support operations in WC225. EES is now an ongoing customer.
- Supported various major oil companies (Apache, Tetra Applied Technologies, Pioneer, BP, ExxonMobil, Dominion, W&T Offshore and others) with repairs as well as decommissioning of wells with damages sustained from the storms of 2005 in the Gulf of Mexico.
2005 Highlights
- SeaTrepid performed ROV support work in conjunction with The Academy of Applied Science during the survey of Loch Ness, Scotland in support of "various scientific projects".
- SeaTrepid wrote the first US Coast Guard ROV Port Security Manual for the Homeland Security Operations Directorate.
2004 Highlights
- SeaTrepid located the canopy and assisted in victim recovery from the Water Taxi accident in Baltimore Harbor in April 2004 with the Baltimore Fire Department and Marine Sonic receiving international press coverage.
2003 Highlights
- SeaTrepid performed an internal wreck survey of a DC-3 aircraft shot down by a Russian MiG-15 during the Cold War for the Swedish Navy in 425 fsw.
- Performed cave surveys in conjunction with the National Geographic Society in the Northern Yucatan of Mexico during the "Ring Cenote" project featured in the September, 2003 edition of National Geographic Magazine.
- Performed an accident investigation with the US National Park Service into the wreck of a B-29 into Lake Mead in 1948 with footage featured on the Discovery Channel.
2002 Highlights
- SeaTrepid performed an investigation of the 1929 disappearance of a couple into a clear lake in Washington State. Footage from this expedition was featured on The Discovery Channel.
2001 Highlights
- Footage from another expedition to the USS Arizona featured in the History Channel's "Save our History". Gained extensive scientific data in support of ongoing preservation efforts by the US National Park Service.
- Successfully completed an investigation with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms uncovering items of evidence during the burning incident of a boat belonging to President George W. Bush.
2000 and 2001 Highlights
- Performed the first internal wreck survey of the USS Arizona since its sinking in WW2. The footage gained during that expedition was featured on the National Geographic documentary "Pearl Harbor: Legacy of Attack". Bob Christ (a SeaTrepid Principal) is named in the credits. The project was featured in the July 2001 edition of National Geographic Magazine.
