Bob Christ, President
Bob cut his teeth in the subsea business during the 35+ year search for U-166 sunk in the Gulf of Mexico during WW2, and is an Oceaneering alumni with 12 years direct ROV experience. Bob co-founded VideoRay (manufacturer of micro-ROVs) in 1999 and continued on with SeaTrepid in 2003 through to today. Bob has a dual B.S. in both Aviation and Accounting from Louisiana Tech University, has a junior standing in Mechanical Engineering at The University of New Orleans and is a FAA-certified Airline Transport Pilot as well as a [inactive] Certified Public Accountant.
Dianne D. Cahanin, CPA , Vice-President of Finance
Dianne grew up in Mid-City New Orleans, is a graduate of the University of New Orleans (BA 1980) and furthered her education in Accounting at Southeastern Louisiana University. She earned her CPA certificate in 1990 and devoted the last 19 years of her career in both public and private industry accounting assisting small businesses. Dianne is affectionately named “The Hammer” for her iron-fisted fiscal management and serves as the financial director of the SeaTrepid Team.
Joseph Caba, Vice President of Operations
Joe started professional life with Lockheed Missiles & Space Company as a research engineer with concentrated activities in their Marine Technology Division. He then helped to establish a family-operated ROV business and subsequently formed Reliant Subsea (provider of commercial ROV services). Joe brings to the SeaTrepid team a deep knowledge of ROV theory and practice as well as extensive worldwide experience in a full range of vehicles. Joe has a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Poly - SLO and is both a FAA-certified Commercial Pilot as well as an FAA-certified A&P Mechanic.
Steve Walsh, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Steve brings years of sales, marketing and management experience to SeaTrepid from a variety of fields. Most recently, Steve was the National Sales Manager for a group of trucking and automotive publications published by Penton Media, Inc. Prior to his stint in the publishing business, Steve worked in the field of intercollegiate athletics leading the athletic development efforts at Northwestern University, the University of Kansas and Nicholls State University. Steve holds a B.S. Degree in Marketing from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts Degree from The Ohio State University.
