SeaTrepid Announces the Grand Opening its New Purpose-Built Robotics Training, Service and Support Facility

SeaTrepid opens its full-range state-of-the-art training and support facility to service its customer base worldwide

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Robert, LA, June 1, 2009 – SeaTrepid International LLC announces today the grand opening of its new purpose-built ROV training, service and support facility. The new facility features a computer-based learning center featuring state-of-the-art ROV simulation along with hands-on electronics, fiber optics and hydraulics workstations for robotics technician training. The center-piece of the facility is a 40’ long by 30’ wide by 16’ deep in-ground wet test pool for simulated intervention testing as well as final acceptance testing of small through work class ROV systems. This feature, along with a 54,110 square feet sturdy concrete foundation, allows for heavy lifting of full work class ROV components as well as support for large Launch and Recovery Systems. Located near the epicenter of the Gulf of Mexico’s oil & gas operations area, SeaTrepid’s Robert, Louisiana location is well positioned for easy access to the major ports in the Northern Gulf of Mexico region. “We are thrilled to move into our new facility” said Bob Christ, SeaTrepid's President and founder. “This will allow us to not only support our own operations, but also to train and service other WCROV operators with their initial and recurrent training needs over, multiple equipment platforms, for years to come.
